Masturbating comes with a lot of perks such as giving pleasure and relieving stress. Self love also has some interesting health benefits too.
Experts have said having an orgasm often is likely to reduce your chance for prostrate cancer.
New
research found that in addition to relieving stress levels
dramatically, the risk of prostate cancer is reduced in those who show
themselves a lot of self love.
According to the study, men in their twenties who ejaculate
at least 21 times each month are 19pc less likely to develop prostate
cancer later in life compared to those who do not orgasm as frequently.
Men in their forties who masturbate 21 times each month or more are 22pc less likely to develop the disease.
The
research, conducted in Boston University of Public Health, monitored
the habits of 32,000 men for over 20 years and is the most extensive
study of its kind in the area.
Lead author of the study Jennifer Rider said: “Ejaculation
frequency is, to some extent, a measure of overall health status, in
that men at the very low end of ejaculation – zero to three times per
month, were more likely to have other medical problems and die
prematurely from causes other than prostate cancer.
“The
results of our study suggest that ejaculation and safe sexual activity
throughout adulthood could be a beneficial strategy for reducing the
risk of prostate cancer.”
